Robert Hyson is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-informed mental health care to adolescents and adults. Through Minds First Psychiatry, Robert offers secure telepsychiatry services for Alaska residents, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing support for concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood symptoms, sleep difficulties, and related mental health conditions.

Robert’s clinical background includes experience in Inpatient & outpatient psychiatry, interventional psychiatry, and acute care nursing. Before becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner, he worked as an ICU nurse, which shaped his careful, whole-person approach to patient care. He values collaboration, education, and shared decision-making, helping patients better understand their symptoms and treatment options while developing a plan that fits their individual needs.
